This is one of the best canyons in the Wollangambe area, it is long and sustained with a very impressive deep straight crack leading out to the Wollangambe River. This canyon is quite challenging in terms of being a longish day out, the canyon section itself is long with half a dozen abseils, quite a few scrambles, a few duck unders and some nice dark sections as well as a number of swims, there is then almost a kilometre swim along the Wollangambe River to the exit. So, a reasonable level of fitness is required, but it is worth the effort as it is a great canyon.
The usual canyoning gear is needed: harness, helmet, wetsuit etc. You also need a waterproof head touch and some buoyancy for the swim down the Wollangambe (my favourite is a partially inflated beach ball in my back pack).
