We meet at the start of the Wollagambe Crater track on Sandham Road, just over 1 km down from the junction with Bells Line of Road. (Sandham Road is 200m east of the junction of BLOR with Darling Causeway). We follow the Wollangambe Crater track for the first 3 km to Submarine Rock, then head NWN to the Wollangambe. Crossing over involves taking your boots off, or getting your feet wet, so a hand towel is useful. There is a dramatic but entirely safe ascent up a pass discovered by Rob and Lisa which leads to a great “flying carpet” point for morning break. We will follow the ridge NW, an attractive stroll past the pagodas (23 of them, I know because last time I climbed them all). Then we drop down SW to Wollangambe River, and head up to the Goochs Crater track and Sandham Road. Est 6 hrs.
