We will meet somewhere along Hat Hill Road and head down the canyoners track to Hat Hill Ck. We will cross the creek and walk in a large triangle: down the side of Hat Hill Ck, up the side creek and then back over the intervening ridge to Top Hat Spur. We will cross the creek again and ascend the opposite side using the climbers ropes to return to our starting point. This climb up is the only significant exposure on the whole trip. The standing rope makes it manageable. About 8k
