The River Caves is a short but spectacular walk-through canyon in the upper reaches of Budgary Creek in Wollemi National Park. It is probably the best of the walk-through canyons and there are no abseil or tape sections. The water is knee deep at worst with a lot being ankle deep. There is one waist deep section which can be avoided. Walking distance from the carpark is 1.75km each way. Like nearby Deep Pass, the road in has been recently upgraded and we can now drive to Natural Bridge parking area again. Nominated as a wilderness area so group size limited to eight.
