The Flying Carpet is a horizontal projection of rock from the Carne Creek cliffs. it is accessed from the Glow Worm Tunnel Road which has recently been graded. The walk is about 7 km and involves excellent views of Carne Creek. Members must be confident with cliff top walking and exposed ledges. We his the Koan cave (named by Yuri after his grandson). The climb on to the carpet is optional. A rope will be used for members who need it. This walk is suitable for experienced bushwalkers. No booking will be accepted before 29 July, 2024
