Spiral Canyon is located off the Deans Creek Trail on the Newnes Plateau. There a four abseils. The walk in and out is five km fire trail and one km through thick bush. Spiral is a short canyon, good in Winter because it is dry. The exit along Deans Creek is pleasant walking. The return to the fire trail involves a scramble up a rock face then one km through thick regrowth
