This is a research trip for a new book about the Australian Army activities in the area during the 1960s. Final details will depend on the state of the road, but the plan is to drive as far as possible, hopefully to the intersection at GR 522 627, establish a camp there and take day trips to the top of the mountain. Combination of trail and off-trail walking. Exploratory. Distances unknown, likely 12-15 km every day. Likely scrambling and exposure.
