- Description
- This walk (appropriately on Remembrance Day!) will visit some ancient rock art. I have not visited the site before, but am hoping it will be easy to find and in reasonably good condition - no guarantees! My understanding is that there is a plaque at the site and there has been some excavation by anthropologists but the site is otherwise relatively undisturbed. The walk will probably only be practical for members who live in central or Northern Sydney or the Central Coast. Even then, it will be a lot of driving and not much walking. The drive is about 1 hour 45 minutes from Sydney CBD - I could collect walkers at Sydney Central station or Hornsby or Peats Ridge. The walk follows a fire trail and then what I expect to be a slightly overgrown track. The total distance out and back will be about 6 km so will only take a couple of hours.
