- Marijuana Canyon is a short, not often visited canyon, situated off the Bells Line of Road near Mt Charles. It was the site of an extensive marijuana "plantation" many years ago. Plastic sheeting has broken down and fragments can be found further downstream in Bowens Creek. The plan is to remove plastic sheeting, plastic pipes, wire netting, other rubbish and carry it out in garbage bags. Gloves will be required. There is short but steep walk into the canyon and out again. No abseils are involved. Bushwalkers and canyoners are very welcome. The operation should take half a day.
