- Grand Canyon at night sparkles with glow worms! If you haven't done it by night it is worth stumbling over a few rocks in the dark to see them. The trip is also good for those new to canyoning as there is only one 17m abseil at the start after that it is a lot of wading, scrambling and a few swims. And for those that have done it, it is always a great trip. Wetsuits and abseiling gear is needed for this trip. Despite being summer it is quite cold at night in the canyon. We will start a bit before sunset meeting around 7:00 pm but won't be back at the cars until late, probably around 11:00 pm. Like last year, we will bring a bit of Christmas fare along and have a late night Christmas feast before returning to the cars.
